BOBBY HOGGE IV FIRST EVER 3-TIME “LON SKINNER MEMORIAL” WINNER

A huge crowd witnessed one of the best ASA Modified races ever held at

Southern Oregon Speedway for the 100-lap Lon Skinner Memorial.  Through a

series of D, C, B-mains and last chance qualifiers 24 cars started at the green flag. 

Bobby Hogge IV, from Salinas, California became the only 3-time winner in the

races’ 15-year history.  In winning the event, Hogge lapped almost the entire field. 

Scott Lenz from Eagle Point finished in second, followed by Chris Shannon,

Merced, California, and Travis Peery from Fort Jones, California.

BOBBY HOGGE IV WINS 1ST NIGHT OF LON SKINNER MEMORIAL

Fifty-five  Modifieds took the green flag for the first night of the 15th Annual Lon Skinner Memorial, Saturday night, at Southern Oregon Speedway in White City.  The field featured racers from three states and Canada.

Ten heat races led to the D-Main, which was won by Dan Estremado and transferred him and 5 others to the C-Main.  It was won by Matt Duste, followed by Kyle Casson and Dan Estremado.  The B-Main was won by Albert Gill, with Mark Abouzeid and C.J. Putnam second and third. 

The top 12 cars from Saturday night’s A-main are locked into the 100-lap main for Sunday night.  Winner for the last two years, Bobby Hogge IV, from Salinas, California, won followed by Scott Lenz, Travis Peery and Chris Shannon.

Sunday begins with the last chance mains starting the D-main starting at 6pm.  The A-main will be 100-laps with the winner taking home $6,000.
